No Requirement Traits[]

These Traits have no requirements.

Name Effect
Battle Rush
Battle Rush
Getting into a fight gives you a rush of excitement. At the start of battle, you gain Battle Rush LV5 for 3 rounds, which boosts your Power by LV. Defeating an enemy extends it by 3 rounds. When it expires, you become Worn Out for 3 rounds, increasing skill FP costs by the same LV for 3 rounds.
Battle Spirits
Battle Spirits
The act of beating up enemies elates you, allowing you to restore 1 FP every time you hit with a basic attack. (2 FP if it was a critical hit.)
Blind Fighting
Blind Fighting
The character, for whatever reason (having trained with a blindfold, used to having their eyes covered, etc.) is capable of attacking more adeptly with no vision of their target. While that is still a disadvantage, this trait significantly reduces it, causing the Blind status effects you suffer to only reduce your Hit by -50 instead of -100, halving its effectiveness.
Burned Body Portions of your body are covered in burn scars. Since you've already been burned once, you gain +5% status resistance versus Burn, and +25% resistance versus Singe wounds.
Competitive You want to be the very best, like no one ever was. When you deal damage to an enemy, if it's the highest amount of damage that has been dealt during the battle, you gain Competitive Hubris LV 10, which increases Status Resistance by 10%. This status lasts the entirety of the battle, or until someone (ally or enemy) outdoes your sick damage.
Exaggerator Sometimes the edge you need is a good story, even if it's... mostly untrue. Grants the skill Exaggerate in battle. (Tell (or make up) a tale about some great deed you've done to all your enemies, attempting to intimidate them. Grants a status-infliction based chance to inflict Hesitate LV 20 to all enemies in the battle for 3 rounds. Every enemy who buys it recovers your Momentum by 1 (up to a max of 3). (80% normal infliction rate, +Scaled STR%, because it's more convincing if you look the part! Best used with skill quotes.)) 10 round CD.
Fast Healer Your metabolism is quite fast, granting a few benefits. +50% recovery at campfires, +25% healing from food, +50% healing rate of wounds. You get hungry more often, though, decreasing the duration of common foods by 2 battles (to a min. of 1).
Gourmet You love eating food and get more enjoyment out of it than normal people. Improves the HP regen, FP regen, and duration of foods with a total of HP+FP regen of 30 or more by 5 each.
Green Lover Food Lover trait (only 1 can be selected). Nothing beats greens. When eating a food that contains vegetables or fruit, the HP Regen, FP Regen, and Duration are all boosted by 2.
Loud Person When you speak, you do so with a rather loud voice. The range of your say and shout are increased by 2 tiles. You're also hard to shut up, to the displeasure of others, granting +10% Status Resistance versus Silence effects caused by monsters.
Maneuver: Ambidexterity Grants access to a special passive skill. The passive skill is a toggle that you can equip in your skill pool for free which makes it possible to specify which weapon you will want to use for skills requiring specific weapon types. While the skill is off, you will prefer to use your main weapon when possible; while on, you will prefer to use your sub weapon. (Note that this doesn't make it possible to use invalid weapon types with skills you couldn't otherwise do so with.)
Maneuver: Special Attack 1 Grants access to a special skill in combat. The skill granted is unique to the weapon type equipped in your main hand (if you change the weapon, the skill will also change).
Mask of Metal You are shielded in a veil of metallic mystery. While you have a Helmet accessory and a Heavy Armor torso equipped, enemies will not be able to see your HP, FP, and so on. Non-PC enemies will not be able to determine your race for special effects, neither.
Meat Lover Food Lover trait (only 1 can be selected). Meat dishes are the best, no comparison. When eating a food that contains meat or fish, the HP Regen, FP Regen, and Duration are all boosted by 2.
Merciful Soul You are not a big fan of violence and would prefer if baddies would just leave you alone. Grants a skill called Show Mercy; when used in battle, enemies will have the chance to leave the battle. Player characters can also choose to leave the battle. Otherwise, depending on the race and remaining HP, monsters may flee. If they do so, you still recieve EXP as if you defeated them, plus bonus RP EXP. They may also leave behind items when they flee. Does not work against bosses or in arena battles.
One Hand You've only got the one hand left, for some reason. Unlucky? Accident? Punishment? Whatever the case, it means you can't equip sub-weapons, and you can't two-hand weapons either. However, since you're better practiced with one hand, you gain +5 Hit (treated as base, not bonus).
Quiet Person You don't talk much, and even when you do, your voice is very soft. People at the edge of your say range can only hear you mumbling. However, monsters in dungeons will not notice you when you are in their line of sight unless you are fairly close.
Reckless Rescuer Someone's in trouble, there's no time to waste! Joining a battle mid-way grants +15 Scaled Weapon Attack as you bravely charge into the fray, but lowers your Phys. and Mag. Defense by 10% due to your recklessness. This effect lasts for 3 rounds.
Sadism To you, there's nothing better than watching them suffer. Increases the chance you inflict Wounds on enemies when dealing damage by 50% of it's normal value, and upon doing so successfully, the enjoyment you feel restores 10 FP.
Sentimentality (Weapon) You are very fond of your weapon; you take care of it to an almost strange degree. Using the same weapon in your main hand grants bonus effects the more battles you take it into, incuding +1 Power, Critical, Hit, +5 maximum durability, 25% bonus EXP towards its Potential unlock, and 5% durability usage reduction. At 100 battles, all of these benefits are doubled. (Each bonus unlocks after a certain number of battles; if you end a battle with a different main hand weapon equipped, all benefits will RESET!)
Spiritual Sensitivity You have always been able to feel the light touch of the spirit realm. If you enter battle with an enemy who is possessed by spirits, you will be able to detect it. Against Possessed and Ghost enemies, you gain +10 Status Infliction as you can more easily influence them, but also -10 Status Resistance due to your sensitivity. You will also be able to see spirits regardless of your Spiritualism ranks.
Strict Sleeper Your sleep is not flexible. You pick an hour between 1 and 24; this is your bedtime. Resting at an inn within 1 hour of your bedtime refreshes you, restoring 50% of your max. Phys and Mental Stamina (once a day). If you miss this window, you become Strictly Sleepy, increasing your chance to recieve wounds by 10% until you rest at an inn.

Spiritual Tattoo (Obedience) Spiritual tattoos infuse body and soul with certain refinements. -1% Maximum HP. (Includes yourself if treated as Youkai via Install, etc.) 10 FAI, Race With Natural Skin
Arrow Catcher Your hand-eye coordination is excellent, allowing you to catch things easily, such as arrows. When you are attacked by a Bow weapon, and evade the attack, there is a 75% chance for you to catch the arrow; if you do, all Bow weapons you have equipped recover 5 Durability. If it was an elemental arrow, you also gain a stack of that type of arrow, provided you don't have any elemental arrows active. 20 Skill
Attune With Nature The character's reliance on their natural abilities is purely instinctual. The cost to equip racial skills in the Skill Pool becomes 0. 20 SAN
Charismatic Your forceful personality is great at motivating people. Grants a special skill in battle called Motivate (Charisma). (Boosts Critical for all allies by Scaled WIL - 10 until your next turn. 3 round cooldown.) 20 Will

Cursed Blood Your blood has been cursed by some higher entity or vile sorcerer, impacting your health negatively in some way, but making you poisonous to some others. Reduces your Status Resistance by 10% and prevents you from donating blood. However, enemies who drink your blood or absorb your HP have a chance to have a status effect dispelled. May also interact with certain blood-based skills in a unique way. Non-Glykin Race with Natural Skin
Dedicated Cleaner You are devoted to doing your best when cleaning. Increases the reputation bonus and maximum possible reputation gained from cleaning up battle damage. Furthermore, when you clean battle damage, it will generate a sparkly shine, which makes it harder for more battle damage to tarnish your nice and clean city street. 15 Skill, Servant Training Trait
Desperado Striker Don't bet against you when the odds are down; you've got so much luck it's pouring out of your ears. If you perform a basic attack with a weapon that has exactly 1 durability remaining, that attack will always critically hit if successful, breaking the weapon in the process. 20 LUC
Die Hard You're tough to keep down, even when you're... down. You have a 5+LUC% chance while incapacitated to revive with HP equal to your level. This effect can only activate once every 10 rounds. Stability, 20 Vitality

Escape Artist Slippery is a good way to describe you. Grants +10% success rate when attempting to Flee, and lowers the success rate of enemies trying to grapple you by 15%. 15 Celerity
Further Madness Once per battle, hearing the mantra word causes your next basic attack to have +8 Power. While in battle, hearing the mantra will also cause you to laugh when this is triggered. (The laughing emote will use the face icon state 'madness_trait', if you wish to specify a custom one in your face icon.) Madness Mantra Trait
Ghost Entertainer You treat spirits as if they were guests, and as any good hosts, they never want to leave you. Prevents Spiritualism spirits from leaving your body when you are defeated in battle. Furthermore, Performing near lingering spirits grants you Roleplaying EXP (this can only trigger once every 3 in-game hours). 10 FAI, 10 SAN
Guardian Spirit You have made an unofficial alliance with a guardian spirit, a Youkai ally that you can summon in battle (even if you aren't a Summoner). They will begin at level 10 and 100 Friendship, but if you lose this trait, they will also leave, so be careful. If you have a Starsign, the type of youkai may change. (If you cannot select this trait despite qualifying for it, you may already have the Youkai it would give you.)

(Mars = Chun, Jupiter = Byakko, Venus = Jack o' Lantern, Mercury = Snow Crow, Saturn = Hippogriph, Neptune = Drowned Woman, Uranus = Apus, Pluto = Lilu, Other/None = Asrai)

10 Aptitude
Heart Breaker What's better than pulling the wool over some sucker's eyes? Nothing, really. You know how to use your assets, giving you a +5% Charm infliction rate. Furthermore, inflicting Charm on an enemy fills you with glee, restoring 10 FP (once per round). 10 WIL, 15 GUI
Laidback Disposition Disposition trait (only 1 can be selected). You could be described as 'going with the flow' or even 'airheaded', giving you less whiplash in scary situations. But such a mindset also makes you easily affected by someone's charisma and give a lack of commitment to certain courses of action. +10% resistance versus Fear and Silence. -10% resistance versus Charm and Hesitation. 15 WIL
Last Rites You believe that even monsters have souls that need to cross on. Grants a 10% chance that monsters you encounter in dungeons/etc will also leave behind a Spiritualism spirit. 20 Faith
Lovely Face You are good looking and you know how to use it to your advantage. Passively increases reputation by 10 and grants a special skill in battle called Blow Kiss. (Blow a kiss at an enemy within 5 Range, granting a chance to inflict Charm LV (X = Scaled WIL) for 3 rounds. +20% infliction rate if you are wearing an unarmed torso (this gives them a better... view.)) 10 Will, 15 Guile, Non-Corrupted Race With Skin
Luminary Element Through the power of the stars, or perhaps your own unnatural talent, you are more drawn to a specific element. WIL no longer increases all elements; instead, it increases your Starsign's element by 1 per 1 WIL (for Elem ATK only, diminishing returns are ignored). The original stat that grants a bonus to this element no longer does so. SR 1 in Starsign (and chosen)
Mana Replenishment A natural ability to fortify one's focus reserves in dire straits. At the start of a new round, if your current FP is equal to or less than twice your scaled SAN, you gain +5 FP Regeneration for that round. 20 SAN
Managerial Skills You work well when dealing with large groups. Increases the amount of Mercenaries you can bring into battle by 1 (you can normally only bring 3 at once). 20 Guile
Masseuse You're quite good with your hands, something your allies can appreciate. Once per in-game day, in the Companions panel, you can give a Youkai ally a massage. This massage gives them EXP equal to X% of the total EXP they need to level up (X = your SKI), and also increases their Friendship with you. 20 Skill
Master of Unlocking You, the master of unlocking, can use lockpicks like no one else. Further increases the success rate when picking any lock by 10%. In addition, the chance for a lockpick to break on failure is halved. Enemy of Locks trait
Mastery of Weapon Arts The martial prowess of this character is without question; their enemies would quake with fear, even if they only had a sharp stick. All weapons you use that do not have STR as their main scaling stat gain 15% STR scaling. 25+ Ranks in Weaponry Talents
Monster Hunter Your preferred enemies are monsters; any kind, really. Increases attack damage dealt by melee weapons against monsters by 15%. 15 Base Strength
Ninja Training You have experience learning the secret arts of the ninja. Unlocks the Ninjitsu talent, which deals with Smokescreens and Shurikens. 15 Celerity
Obsessive Madness Your obsession has reached rather scary heights. At the start of battle, if a unit (other than yourself) has a name that contains the mantra word, you become obsessed with them (which ends if they reach 0 HP and the effect would trigger). While obsessed, you gain Further Madness every round, your healing/damage to and from that unit is increased by 10%/5% respectively, and you will turn to face them frequently. Further Madness
Persistence of Normalcy Even a mouse can take more punishment than expected. If your Main Class and Sub Class are both Base Classes, you gain +100 Max HP. If they are the same Base Class, you gain +200 Max HP instead. Character Level 30, or at least 1 Legend Extension
Pious Upbringing Your early life was filled with devoted worship and prayer to a specific God. Upon selecting this trait, you select a prayer tool of the God you worshipped. You receive that prayer tool, and if you do not have a God, it becomes your God and your God Loyalty becomes 40. Praying also requires slightly less mental stamina. 5 FAI, At least 1 SR in Prayer, Sigrogana Nation Start
Poison Resilience Through exposure or natural protection, the character's body is more capable of fighting off poison. Increases Poison Resistance by 5%, and reduces the LV of any Poison status applied to you by 1 (cannot reduce below LV 1). (Only applies to enemy effects.) 20 VIT & 10+ Ranks in Survival Talents

Ruled By Emotion Your emotions constantly get the better of you. While inflicted with Fear, your Hit against the inflicted is decreased by additional 10, but your Evade is increased by 10 against all attacks, as you are trying to protect yourself. Conversely, when you are angered, your Scaled Weapon Attack increases by 15, but your Armor is lowered by 15, as you are less concerned with such things. (You become angry when an ally is defeated, when you miss a basic attack, or when an enemy inflicts a luck-based status effect on you. When applied this way, it lasts for 2 rounds, and cannot be reapplied during that time.) 20 Will
Serious Disposition Disposition trait (only 1 can be selected). It's just in your nature to take things seriously, giving you a mental fortitude against certain distractions, such as lust and second-guessing yourself. Stability Possessing a body you can depend on. Grants 1 HP Regen per round. The effect is doubled if you're below 50% HP. 10 Base Vitality
Strongest Muscles Your body is like a statue, in that it feels like it's made of stone. While you do not have a Torso item equipped, you gain +10 Armor, +10 Magic Armor, and 10% Blunt Resistance. You also gain the skill Cast Off Flexing (Flex so hard that whatever's on your upper body goes flying off, unequipping your Torso equipment slot item. If there was one, all enemies might be inflicted with Hesitation LV 50 until your next turn, because good lord, look at those biceps.) Race With Natural Skin, 30 STR, 30 VIT
Sword Polisher Going the extra mile is a key part of being a good servant. When your party rests at an inn, you polish their weapons, which has two effects. First, if you have any Maintenance talents, it'll repair them as if it had triggered. Second, all members receive a buff that reduces durability consumption for weapons by 25% for 50 rounds. 20 Skill, Dedicated Cleaner Trait
Trap Scouter You are more careful than normal people, keeping eyes out for traps all the time. Increases the success rate of spotting traps by 15%. 10 Skill

Animal Allergy Animals have always made you a bit... sneezy. Being near an animal-like race may cause you to sneeze involuntarily sometimes. If this occurs in battle, the sneeze may have a special minor effect. (When triggered, the face-icon state 'sneeze' will be used. Race with Natural Skin
Albedo Operative You are a member of Albedo, the morally grey alchemist and magic collective. As such, you are capable of utilizing secret portals or hijacking the Majistran portal service to teleport to the Albedo Headquarters, located at an unknown place underground.

NOTE: Do not take this trait if you are not intending to roleplay a member of this organization.

Characters who are following the same religion will become closer to the God, increasing their God Loyalty by 1. Arcane Relocation Toggle skill. When toggled on, the Lich's movement type becomes teleportation (you appear instantly at your target location, bypassing the need to walk and set off field hazards). By utilizing a brief jump through the void, the Lich instantly appears at their destination. Due to the unique nature of the Lich, they are less vulnerable to Void Poisoning, and can utilize it without worrying too much. Race: Lich
Essence Blast Unleash a bit of your power in the form of arcane flames. Releases a projectile that will travel for up to 8 Range that deals Akashic magic damage to the first enemy hit equal to 10 + Scaled WIL + Scaled SAN. However, through time, the Dullahan is able to recover their energy while fighting in this style. While this skill is equipped, when you select End Turn, you recover FP equal to your unspent Momentum * 2. (Excess momentum from a lack of possible actions is also transfered in this manner.)) Race: Dullahan
Soul Rage Grants access to the Soul Rage active skill. (Contrary to their appearance, the Dullahan is capable of lightning fast rampages, due to the nature of the Soul Engine. While this will very easily exhaust them into immobility, it is one of the dangers of fighting the 'mad' Dullahans. By using this skill, you invoke a Soul Rage for 3 rounds, increasing your Momentum by 3 immediately, and the momentum you start your turn with by 3, for 3 rounds. However, you also lose 10% of your maximum HP every round this is active.) Race: Dullahan
