Introduction[]

ProfessorPinkOffice

The layout of the Professor Pink's Office, featuring all things. Zoom in to see the names.

Welcome to Sigrogana Legend 2! A turn-based RPG with emphasis on roleplaying on a fantasy setting, where players can explore a vast quantity of randomized dungeons, and enjoy their time building up the story of their own character.

This wiki page will guide you through the bare basics of the game's tutorial if you are too lazy to read, in hope for a smooth transition from a complete greenhorn, to green soles/green gloves user. (You'll understand the joke later, I promise.)

Controls[]

This game has three main ways to control and move your character around:

Default Move[]

  • Pressing the arrow keys will allow you to move as is common with many other BYOND games.
  • Holding down 'Shift' will allow you to "turn around without moving".

WASD Move[]

  • If you dislike the basic BYOND movement controls utilizing arrow keys, there is an alternate version for it: the WASD Mode. Learn more about it here.

Click-To-Move[]

  • Clicking on any free spot/floor tile on the screen automatically navigates your character to it. This is commonly used when trying to navigate long distances more fluidly.
  • Shift does not work with this.

Continent Selection[]

MapSelector

The Continent selection table

With the introduction of a demi-expansion to Sigrogana Legend 2, around June 2022, players can now choose between the main setting, or a far off-shore experience involving a single continent, "Korvara", that does not interact with the main setting and vice versa. This choice is permanent, so you must commit to either of the displayed continents. Once you make a character for one, you cannot use the same character for the other, as there are no ways to transfer over them.

Basically, Korvara will lead you to a place where you will likely find more people, or find players with more ease, but Sigrogana will allow you to learn the game better.

It is heavily recommended for you to start on Sigrogana, as a throwaway character, to learn the utmost basics about the game. Given it provides a much more cozy single player experience, including a "Main Story Quest" and plenty of "Asago Quests". Once you feel enough familiar with the controls, battle system, building and so-on, you may try to make a more serious character in Korvara, which follows a similar formula for being the same game, but has heavier emphasis over roleplay than your game knowledge, and very little 'handholding' about what you should do or not.

Race Board[]

Race Selection

The Race Selection screen, once you interact with race selection area. It should be first thing you will do. You can click on arrow keys on Stats to see the brief summary of race's lore. Zoom in, to see the names.

Your race is most likely the first thing you pick. Upon opening the menu, you'll see a wide selection of available races, and clicking on each of them, you'll be given information about their base stats, racial passives and short lore if you press the arrow key icons below the race's name to your top right.

You can also see each race through the Wiki's home page, which links for a more in-depth presentation of each, and any further questions can be asked in OOC or through Discord, people may be eager to give you a hand.

Note that base race values, will be major influence factor on which aspects your character will excel at, and stat proficiency varies from race to race, and is very important for when you are building a certain char's stat distribution. (Some races may also not be very newplayer friendly, so be wise.)

An example of this is that Felidae are proficient in having Celerity, for having a high Base "CEL", Dullahans can excel in having enormous Strength due to their high Base points in "STR". Imperials, as you can see in the picture, are a jack of all trades for having even stats everywhere.

Base numbers to determine how 'good' or 'bad' their base statuses are might be around this:

Points Rate
0 points Don't distribute higher than 40 stat points.
1 to 2 points Very Low
2 to 3 points Low
4 points Average
5 to 6 points High
7 to 8 points Very High
9+ points You can distribute as 1:1, up to 50 stat points!

Here's also a more in-depth of what each statistic does:

Pay close attention to Aptitude! (Though TL;DR for starters, if you plan to be a durable and tanky, go for 36 APT, if you plan to be fast and evasive, 50 APT).

I don't like my race! How do I change my race after I leave the tutorial?[]

  • This is a full commitment choice. You cannot change your race through any means once you decide on one, and leave the Tutorial Area.

Vanity Mirror[]

CharacterCustomization

Character Customization Screen. Note that you'll not want to use this until you selects a race, as shown above. If you had not chose a race. You'll not be able to do much customization.

The Vanity Mirror can only be accessed after you select a race, this won't be available until you do so.

Once you select a race. You can create your "Player Icon". It's always good to have a planned character reference picture to accompany it, keep in mind whenever doing this, so your player icon and playby can both be compatible.

  • Not all races will have 'Racial' additions.
  • It's best to try out the Color Wheel to its full potential, make sure to use Brighten/Darken too for effects you'd want to find. But once you get used to it, you'll be making great icons in no time.
  • Character Size makes your character bigger in the game, and thus if your character is bigger individual. You can use Character Size to make your character look bigger,or smaller to put a spice of exaggeration on the size of your character.

Once you're done, hit 'Save Slot', and choose any available slot. This way, whenever you wish to have a different outfit, you can simply load from your save slots.

Now that you're done messing around with your character appearance, head over to the Guestbook on the left sect.

I don't like my looks! How do I change my looks after I leave the tutorial?[]

  • You can change your looks. Find around the world other instances of the Vanity Mirror. Though beware, each use costs 100 Murai, the in-game currency for your character that you earn while adventuring.
  • There is also a donation item that is a portable version of the Vanity Mirror, the "Portable Mirror", that you can use from your inventory. It is not accessible for anyone, but can be bought with any donation you make for the game.

Guestbook[]

Name Book

The Guestbook. Where you can change your character's name, and also alias.

CharacterIcons

Character Info goes right here! This also shows you what other icons will go to. But we're focusing on character information.

The "Guestbook" is where you define your character's name and alias. The first prompt will be for your 'Character Name', and the second will be for the 'Alias'.

>> Name [Your character's name]. The name of your character. A followed formula is always writing 'Name' + 'Surname/Family Name', as the placeholder name demonstrates. Please read the guidelines for naming.

>> Alias [Your appearance, or a fake name]. This is often used to broadly describe your character, without going by their name. For example, let's say you are red-haired male that wears armor. You could call your alias 'Armored Redhead'. This is first alias that you should toggle when you select a name.

AKAFeature

Click the (AKA) button next to your Alias to swap between displays.

After picking a name and an alias, go to Character Info, located on the HUD bar to your right. When you do that. You'll see where all your stats, information, and whatnot. There should be an "AKA" button you can press to shift between one and the other.

Once done, we'll move on to Class Selection.

I don't like my name/alias! How do I change my name/alias after I leave the tutorial?[]

  • Character Name is a full commitment choice. You cannot change your character's name once you are out of the Tutorial. There is a way, though, by requesting GMs to do so for you, but you must give them a good reason to do so.
  • You can change your Alias. Find certain Shady Dealer NPCs who offer the service for 10 Murai. One of them is located in a shack within Dormeho. The other in Korvara is located in the Smuggler's Cave, which is a hidden place you will need to find first, or ask around .
  • There is also a donation item that is a portable version of the Shady Dealer NPC's service, the "Fake Passport", that you can use from your inventory. It is not accessible for anyone, but can be bought with any donation you make for the game.

Class Board[]

New class board

The Class Board menu. This one has most classes unlocked.

Now that you're on the Class Board. You must decide on a class. You'll get this popup. With it, you can also access the class from the HUD under the Classes tab.

Be aware that you can only equip the weapons that your primary class can use. To equip different types of weapons, you'll need a Talent on 'Adaptation', over the weapon type. Though for example, a Summoner can use Sword, and Tome, but you can't use Spears, or Axes that Soldier can provide if it was the primary class.

You'll also notice the 'Lock' Icons in the class board. These are the Promoted Classes, and you can unlock them after you hit specific Class LV and meet specific unlocking conditions that you may explore by looking into this link here.

Once you finalized on selecting your classes, we'll move to Character Stats.

DestinyList

This is list of Destiny options that you can choose from Professor Pink's dialogue.

Destiny[]

In the game, Professor Pink may also ask whether you want to pick a 'Destiny' class or not.

A 'Destiny' class involves committing to a specific playstyle where you can only use a single class and its promotions. The advantages include bonus skill slots and the ability to surpass the level cap of LV35 for all classes, reaching up to class LV50.

This allows you to acquire more skills from the chosen class than the usual limit. However, the downside is the reduction in the variety of skills in your arsenal. You can remove this restriction through a Legend Extension, but this is only possible at the maximum player level, at LV60.

For new players, it's recommended to choose 'No Destiny' for now.

Character Stats[]

CharacterInfo1

The Character Info menu.

The illustration shows the Character Stats menu, which is mainly used for increasing your character's stats. Although it might initially appear as a cluster of confusing information, understanding each element is important.

It's essential to comprehend the impact of investing a certain amount of points into any given stat. For example, allocating points to Aptitude not only adds +1 stat to all other stats above it but also provides a bonus in EXP gains for your character.

To make the most of this system, it's highly recommended to take the time to read through the descriptions of each stat. You can do this by hovering your cursor over them to understand the effects they offer. Remember, you will consistently gain 4 stat points with each character level-up. (Note: Class levels are unrelated to this; Class Levels equate to Skill Points, while Player Level corresponds to Stat Points.)

There's an important rule to follow during stat investment—understanding 'diminishing returns' and 'Scaled Stats.' In the image, you might have noticed an icon resembling a unique body figure, which I've referred to as 'Scaled Stats.' This represents your actual stat values and where your stats are influential. If this concept is unclear, don't worry.

The math behind it is straightforward: if players invest more than (40 + base) stat points into any stat, 'diminishing returns' come into play. This means the stat's influence on the 'scaled' stat will progressively decrease as you invest more points.

Diminishing Returns[]

This is very important to understand!

Overspending points repeatedly in the same stats can lead to diminishing returns, causing your character to not fully benefit from all the invested points.

It's akin to a 'wear out' effect. This implies that having, for example, 80 STR doesn't mean you can straight up gain +80 to your overall physical damage.

You may find that with this theoretical 80 STR, your "Scaled STR" is actually less than 64.5, and wonder where your 15.5 spent STR points went. Diminishing returns have effectively rendered them ineffective, serving as a mechanism for game balance. As mentioned during race selection, your race's base stats significantly influences diminishing returns. To spend your stats effectively and intelligently, you can use the following math:

(Legend Aspect) + (Racial Base Value) + (40) = "Soft Cap", before diminishing returns start applying.

As an illustrative example, let's consider a catgirl's CEL investment. They have 8 base CEL, increasing their Soft Cap from 40 -> 48, and potentially even 49 if they have a Legend Ink on the aspect Rabe Ur. This example provides a glimpse into the interaction between spending and scaling, offering insight into the mechanics of the game.

Stat Points Scaled
40 CEL 40 Scaled CEL
48 CEL 48 Scaled CEL
52 CEL 50.4 Scaled CEL
64 CEL 60.1 Scaled CEL

With this explanation, you likely have an idea of how things work. For instance, a Felidae will be better at retaining CEL due to its high racial CEL values, while a Shaitan will excel in retaining STR, and a Redtail in LUC. You can gather hints about a race's specialization by delving into their lore (e.g., Redtails being exceptionally lucky) or by checking their racial stat points (Redtails having 9 base LUC).

Now that you grasp the impact of diminishing returns, it's wise not to excessively allocate points after hitting the soft cap. Balance is crucial, and so is Aptitude! Before distributing points, it's highly recommended to check the "Aptitude" page. It's also advisable to spend your Aptitude first before making further stat builds.

Building Tips[]

You'll get more information on this link. to the Forums, where the Developer and some helpful souls have been working on their own leisure over making better guides for builds.

Equipment, star-signs, religions, and possession.[]

Weight

Total Inventory Weight: The weight indicator at the top of the screen shows the total weight of all items in your inventory. If you exceed your carrying capacity, you'll suffer penalties such as slowing down outside of battle and losing momentum in combat. Ensure your inventory stays within the limits dictated by your Strength to avoid these issues.

Battle Weight (BW): Represented by a chest plate icon below the chest, Battle Weight indicates how heavy your equipment is. Heavier weights adversely affect your Evade, Hit, and Movement. Click here for more detailed information.

Religion: Unlocked through the 'Devotion - Prayer' Talent, the Religion section appears as a box with two icons. The first, 'God Loyalty,' displays your loyalty level to a specific god, along with additional lore. Praying to a god with their respective Prayer Tool, while having at least 25 Mental Stamina, grants a Prayer buff and loyalty to that Religion. Having a religion is optional, offering fluff and minor boons. (This is exclusive to Sigrogana, and is not accessible for Korvara.)

Starsign: Unlocked through the 'Astrology - Starsign' Talent, the Starsign section allows you to choose a permanent bonus tied to a specific status and Elemental ATK. Having a starsign is optional and provides fluff with small boons. During certain months, the bonuses will double.

Possessions: Unlocked through the 'Spiritualism - Possession' Talent, the Possessions tab on the far right shows the number of spirits currently possessing you and its bonuses. Possessed spirits leave upon defeat, requiring you to re-collect them.

Talents and Traits[]

TalentPage

What Talent Section looks like.

Talents are a crucial aspect of character development, and distributing them wisely is essential.

Before allocating Talents, thoroughly read and understand their effects. Only choose those that align with your character's intended playstyle and abilities. Wasting points on unnecessary Talents can lead to challenges later on, so choose wisely to avoid potential setbacks.

Be mindful of the permanence of your Talent choices. Once allocated, points are spent, and you can't reclaim them without specific items. Make informed decisions to ensure your character is optimized for the journey ahead.

While you have the option to redo your Talents using a Fruit of Talentlessness if you're dissatisfied, it's still important to carefully plan your choices, as those tend to cost 1000 Murai, each.

Traits[]

Traits, akin to Talents, play a significant and dynamic role in character distinctions. They are more prominent and actively shape a character's unique characteristics, often enhancing racial traits.

Traits are a key element in differentiating one player from another based on personal choices and fluff. These choices can even elevate a character's racial abilities to some extent. When selecting Traits, prioritize those that provide tangible benefits aligned with your character's strengths and narrative. Consider how these Traits contribute to your character's story and abilities, making choices that enhance your overall gameplay experience.

Similar to Talents, if you find the need for change, Traits can be redone by consuming a Fruit of Blandness, which costs the same price of 1000 Murai.

It's time to begin my story!![]

You're finally out of Pink's grasp!

I hope you've read everything three times over and memorized the basics of CQC, soldier! You'll need to remember it every time you have to make a Jammer sorry for existing

But wait, there's more!

Not done?! Ahhh!! - Profile and Roleplay[]

>>First. Double click yourself. (If it's hard, just go into Cellsvich's map, I.E, head north a bit. Your icon should grow in size.)

That's your profile. Your main source of identification in the game. To each category you'll need to pay a special attention to what you're doing. Start by selecting a profile picture for yourself. This should show off a player character's body most likely.

Cliccme

Click there! Then select an image that is 238x400. (max. 256 kbs). Inappropriate images will result in a ban.

Newplayer

Beautiful! This is what you'll look like to veterans, no matter your profile picture.

Once a good profile picture is selected, move on to Appearance. Click the small gear on the bottom right and type away whatever seems important about your character's appearance. Let's say for example on the joke picture I used, I'm a Felidae. It's not really displaying a tail, though my character is supposed to have, so I go and write up something like this template below that I personally use:

"(Quote)"

(What they are),(Notable Behavior), (Height), (Hair and Clothing)

(Additional physical details),(Weapons), (Notable combat potential)

Example:

"...Huff, it was a long trip. My back hurts!"

Kuhpeculyre is a tall, handsome Felidae with a sunny and welcoming disposition.
He stands at an easy height of 5'8" feet. His hair's a pink shade of cherry, and
he's clad with a rough-spun tunic of some sort, showing a clear humbleness and air
of new beginnings.

The Felidae seems to have a scar by his left eye, a mishap while trying to dodge
perhaps? Also a very long tail matching his hair color. Any weaponry in his
possession seems to be well-hidden, but if looked into, it's obvious that he's
holding a Kunai!

Given his mannerisms and overall subtlety, it's obvious that they're probably
some form of Rogue who's after fame and fortune.

With that done. Move over and skip History for now. Go straight to OOC notes and write down that you're new. Often a good OOC Notes is utilized this way:

Hey! I'm a new player and you can call me Goonai, my discord is Goopyboye#2255.

Character's name: Kuhpeculye Goblawhsome

Playby: NewPlayer, from Blades Corrupt.

BGM used: Persona 5 OST - Last Surprise.

By doing this you're signing up that you want to be RP'd at, and you'll earn a golden star from me in particular for leaving a reminder of your character's name for the others. There's a lot of people in this game who come and go, keeping track of names OOCly is a chore. So! You'll be doing a greater good to humanity and you should be happy about it.

Things to keep in mind:

- Profiles utilize HTML. If you have the knowledge of how that works, you
can probably further make your profile an eye candy for yourself and
everyone else!

- The basics of NewPlayer HTML. <font face="">, <font size="">, <font color="">
         <b></b> <i></i> <u></u>

         Look into it!

Either way, with that out of question. A basic profile made... We move to the next step.

>>Second. Don't forget this is a roleplaying game. This is officially where you will start this setting, though it's always good to have some sort of 'backstory' in mind. Backstories greatly vary depending on your selected race, but from their lore you can cook up something good. Creativity is the key!

A good example that blend in to your 'sudden arrival' can be the following:

"By Mercala's grace, you've reached the legal age to be recognized as an 'Adventurer'! With the permission of your caretakers or perhaps the lack thereof, you're embarking on a life-changing journey that you can't afford to deny. Whether you had caretakers or not, this is an opportunity you won't let slip away."

"After a lengthy trip in a modest caravan led by a man known as Uncle Joe, you finally arrive at the outskirts, relieved that your journey was uneventful, free from bandits or unexpected detours."

"As you stand there, you can't help but reflect on the purpose of your journey – to heed the Empire's call to arms and confront a global threat. The task at hand: to combat the ever-present Black Doors scattered across the world, portals to realms filled with unspeakable horrors. During your journey, you caught a glimpse of one, a terrifying sight that etched itself into your memory."

"Within those ominous portals are monstrous beings, patiently waiting for unsuspecting victims to wander into their clutches. These creatures claim more victims, delivering their souls to Lazarus. If the unfortunate soul is not consumed, their lifeless body is transformed into a brainless zombie."

"It's a frightening reality. A grim fate. However, fueled by the grace of your god and the sweat of your training, you've sworn not to succumb to such a fate. You've pledged to become a legend, to be remembered through songs of praise. You aspire to be someone who stands against the darkness and triumphs."

"You aspire to be a 'Sigrogana Legend'."
"Within those ominous portals are monstrous beings, patiently waiting for unsuspecting victims to wander into their clutches. These creatures claim more victims, delivering their souls to Lazarus. If the unfortunate soul is not consumed, their lifeless body is transformed into a brainless zombie."

With those two checked, you're probably ready to start playing the game for real-- Without the fear of being bumped into by other players in the middle of a dungeon. So let's move out. Or rather. INTO Cellsvich. It's time. The gold's there, yours for the taking.

The moment you sign away your passage papers, you're becoming an official citizen of the Empire, and will be expected to follow its laws and swear your allegiance to the Emperor. You'll be in Sigrogana's side to repel this menace that never ends, for glory and Murai.

Inside Cellsvich and shivering your timbers?

Calm down, it's but time to do what an Adventurer is made to do.

Quests!

Bank (ASAGO) and Quest System (LaPlace-NET)[]

Building

Asago Building. There's alot of it like it.

Move RIGHT AWAY to the ASAGO Bank!

This place is where you'll be doing roundtrips the most. It is located in the upper left hand corner of the Cellsvich.

Once player gets inside the building, and talks to the NPC about LaplaceNet. She'll ask you to create custom handle that you can just type gibberish, or something fancy. Up to you, honestly. Just remember you'll never, 'ever' be able to change your LaPlace ID, even if you repurpose your character.

Then you click on panel next to the woman on the table, and you'll see this menu here:

Iaplacenet

The Panel. Containing quests, and whatsnot.

This panel is just straight-forward.

  • B.D.P Reports show you what dungeon is spawning and where, as well as the time.
  • Present Delivery is often a way for admins to send apology gift, or receive special gifts for special holidays.
  • Finished Requests is the requests that you've completed.
  • Active requests is the request that you're currently undertaking.
  • New requests are where you receive new quests to do, and can only be selected from an ASAGO Bank. (Unless you donate and buy a LaPlace PDA, which is recommended. Makes life easier!)

Which you'll be using a lot if you want to get higher level faster. When the player starts out the game. They'll get one request, to talk to the woman that they've just talked to get their own LaPlaceNet card. Then they'll complete the quest, and then all quests will be generated. My advice right now, is to grab the 'Eradicate Jammers' Quest, and we'll go from there.

The first Adventure![]

The first public static instance, the Jammer Cave. It's level 1 to 8 dungeon that persists until Argentyle Caverns, which is scaled-dungeon of its own. We won't talk about the latter, but focus on the Jammer Cave. You can find the Jammer Cave by going outside of the Cellsvich, then go south, and west. Then north, and you'll find yourself promptly in the cave.

ThePAth

The path to the Jammer's cave. There is also trick to going around the forest by using the numpad movement!

As you traverse the cave, you'll encounter numerous Jammers. But, fear not, practice leads to perfection. With time, you'll level up and grow more powerful, to the extent that Jammers will either tickle you or struggle to hit you due to your increased speed—or perhaps both! You need not worry about the 'Jammer Menace' until you reach LV10, as death before this point won't result in the loss of items or Murai. Beyond LV10, however, it's wise to be more cautious during fights.

Don't forget to thoroughly explore the cave! Big chests, campfires, mining rocks, and small chests offer valuable loot that may provide a good starting equipment. The wood/ore obtained from the Jammer Cave can even be sold to Zeo in Cellsvich for a decent sum of Murai, which you can use at inns. Zeo's shop is west of the inn.

Also, make sure to purchase Lockpicks from Zeo; you may need them in the future!

After engaging in several fights. Head back to town, explore, and bask in the satisfaction of completing everything you could in that cave. It's time to focus on reaching LV60, where you can truly engage in roleplaying with others on an even ground. While there's still a long journey ahead, don't feel intimidated.

The first step forward is about to lead you somewhere... Go forth and become a Sigrogana Legend, in your own way and style!

(I'll be rooting for you! Good luck and have fun! ~ Kunai)[]
